Amy Refuses to Give up!

DSCN0362
Dear Laurent,

I refuse to give up!

So says Amy, a single mother of three boys who found a new zest for life thanks to CLIMB Wyoming and the counseling session that you donated.

It was a bleak picture that Amy faced: trying to raise her sons with a job that wasn’t paying the bills and the boy’s father absent from all of their lives. When she turned to CLIMB for help, it changed everything. With the counseling session, she was able to find new ways to manage her life and improve her relationships, including those with her family. “The session gave me hope that I can raise my kids on my own and give them the tools and the strength they need,” Amy said.

Because of this success, Amy now is able to help others in the community who are also struggling, and she is working hard to make a positive difference in their lives. Thank you, Laurent!

Amanda’s New Boots Open Doors of Opportunity!

IMGA0282
Dear Laurent,

As a single mother of two young children, Amanda knew that she would need the help for the right career to end the cycle of poverty and get her family moving toward economic security.

When Amanda joined CLIMB Wyoming, she could only find part-time work barely paying minimum wage with absolutely no chance of any health benefits for her family.

With the help of the CLIMB program and your purchase of work boots for her, she has a bright future and is encouraged by her new career in auto mechanics where she has doubled her wage and finally has the opportunity to think about a safe, comfortable future for herself and her children.

Thank you so much, Laurent! With your generosity, Amanda goes to work fully prepared!

Victoria now hopes for a better future for her family

vicotira_114_1440
Dear Michael, Akiko, Bill and Colleen, Margo, Mark and Lynn, Michael, Mike and Suzanne, Katherine, Peter and Kim, Peter, Pradeep, Rajeev, and Rao,

Before Victoria came to CLIMB Wyoming, she had only heard some second-hand information about how to care for her new daughter, and she really didn’t have any support to help raise her. With a realization that the parenting she was giving would impact her daughter for years to come, Victoria knew she needed some help, so she turned to the parenting class at CLIMB.

Victoria is now working to build a solid foundation for her daughter, and has recently been able to get first-hand assistance from role models and mentors in the parenting class, who helped her with real situations and real solutions. “I hope to be the best parent I can be, and I intend to apply what I learn at CLIMB so that it will just get better and better for my daughter’s children,” Victoria said.

Thank you for helping Victoria and her daughter – they both have a wonderful future in store, thanks to your help.

You gave Robbin a chance at a new life!

Robbin and her son enjoying a vacation together
Dear Heather,

Before finding help with CLIMB Wyoming, Robbin felt that her life was simply a huge mess. With a history of debt and addiction, the challenge of being a single mother to a young son, and a lot of bad luck staring her in the face, Robbin’s self-esteem kept her from thinking she could find – let alone deserve – any kind of happiness.

When she was offered the chance to join CLIMB, it changed everything. With the parenting class she was able to take at the program, Robbin learned many of the motherly skills that she needed but simply didn’t know – and it helped her regain the close bond that she needed with her son. She also discovered tools to help her with self-disicipline, self-esteem, and even communicating with the world around her.

“I wish this program could be in every state for every single mother struggling out there,” she said. “There are not enough words to describe the transformation in me except that it started the upward spiral that I am still on.”

With her new-found skills in place, Robbin can now enjoy every day as a certified nursing assistant, and enjoy the new life and the new future she has with her son.

Heather, thank you for helping Robbin and her family – you really made a difference!

Misty Loves Her New Job!

Misty at work
Dear Louann,

A 30-year-old mother of two, Misty’s life had more than its fair share of hard knocks: drug abuse, a jail stint, a failed marriage. With nowhere to turn, she decided to take some advice and try to join the CLIMB Wyoming program.

Finding her voice and her strength in CLIMB, the program turned her life around. With the opportunity to take an amazing job (with a salary to really help get her life back in order), all she needed were workboots for the job – but those proved to be a luxury she simply couldn’t afford.

Now with your help and a new pair of boots, Misty spends her days 200 feet in the air, repairing wind turbines at an electricity plant. “I was intimidated at first but now it’s like I’m one of the guys,” she said. “The whole experience changed my life. The job means I’ve got the chance to start paying for everything myself  without waiting on anyone to support me. It feels really good.”

Thank you Louann for giving Misty this wonderful opportunity!

With the tools for a new job, Alyson has hope for a great future

Alyson at work
Dear Dennis,

Alyson felt like her life was going to be one long unhappy journey while she worked for barely minimum wage in the food service industry. All she wanted was to bring some sort of happiness to her daughter and herself, to create a life worth living.

When Alyson recently joined the CLIMB Wyoming program, she saw an opportunity. The training she received as a short-haul truck driver was going to give her the financial security and independence necessary to move forward – but she could not afford the boots that she had to have for the job.

Thanks to you, she now has these boots and she finally has a chance to give her daughter a secure life. “CLIMB gave us independence,” Alyson said.” Now my daughter sees a mom that can be anything and do anything – and she knows that anything is possible for her as well.”

Thank you Dennis – you gave Alyson and her daughter hope for a better life!

Machelle is on the path to a new life!

Machelle and her oldest son
Dear Nadia and Mike and Suzanne,

A mother of three children, Machelle came to CLIMB Wyoming with little hope: recently divorced, a history of drug use, huge legal problems, a dead-end job. With the help of CLIMB, she is working to turn all of that around to make a better life for herself and her children.

The weekly counseling sessions she is able to take at CLIMB are helping her down the right path. As Machelle said: “I am learning to look at the poor choices I had made in the past. I’m moving away from unhealthy relationships, and dealing with life in a healthy, positive way. Counseling is helping me look into the mirror and start believing in me again.”

Machelle has even allowed herself to now think about a great future, with hopes to get a real estate license, upgrade her living conditions, and even consider the opportunity to take a family vacation. All of this is now possible because of her work with CLIMB Wyoming, and the generous supporters of the program.

With your donation, Mike and Suzanne, Machelle received a full week of the counseling. Nadia, your donation added an additional week of counseling for Machelle. Thanks to all of you, Machelle has the support and care she needs to take on the challenges of life. Thank you so much!
