I can now provide more for my son!
posted July 29, 2011

Before Crystal came to CLIMB Wyoming, she truly believed her young life was already at a dead end. She didn’t think she could ever achieve anything better and that her son would suffer because he would never have all of the things he needed, let alone wanted.
With CLIMB, Crystal could now have a new focus on her job training, her parenting, and her life. With the parenting class that you provided, Crystal has learned some incredibly helpful skills to help her deal with the challenges of being a new mother raising a young boy by herself. Thanks to counseling, I can accomplish anything I want!
posted July 26, 2011

Ashley was in a rough spot in her life, but could tell what she was missing: she needed to hear some things, things that family and friends won’t tell you. With the counseling session you provided to her, Ashley was able to find someone willing to provide the dialogue that she needed.
The counseling session for which you paid gave her a chance to focus on herself, giving her the freedom to explore and examine the frustrations of being a single mom. By doing so, she was able to begin placing the emphasis on finding a solution to the problems she was facing.
“I needed to fix myself and become more productive,” she said. “After counseling, I feel like I can accomplish anything I want!” Thank you for your support of Ashley and CLIMB Wyoming!

Thanks to you my kids won’t have to suffer!
posted June 14, 2011

Toi was facing some serious challenges: she was the sole provider of her two young girls, she wasn’t receiving child support, she was struggling daily to make ends meet, and she got to the point where she couldn’t even afford rent. It was difficult for her to become the parent she knew she could be.
Toi turned to CLIMB Wyoming because she was having trouble keeping a job in this economy and also she was interested in giving her children something they could look upon with pride.
The parenting classes she was able to take, because of your donation, really helped turn things around for Toi. She realized that other parents felt the same struggles and hurdles with their children and that she could work with the team to compare situations, learn from each other, share perspectives, and draw up new plans to help improve her parenting style.
Because of this opportunity, Toi is looking toward a brighter future for herself and her daughters.
Thank you so much for your support of Toi and CLIMB Wyoming!

I want to be the best person I possibly can be
posted June 10, 2011

Ashley, a single mother, faced a difficult plight: because of the economy, she was laid off from a good job with benefits, and the challenges she faced started to take a toll on her family life, including how she was raising her daughters.
When she went to CLIMB Wyoming, she found it to be an incredibly positive place that could provide her a chance to make some changes and improve her situation.
With the parenting class that your donations provided, Ashley now has the tools in place to better relate to her kids and understand what they are going through..and respond accordingly. She is learning that there is no such thing as a perfect parent, and that everyone makes mistakes. The parenting session empowered her to know that she can pick herself up if things don’t go as she had planned.
“I want my girls to know that - no matter what life gives you - you can always find a way to be the best person you can possibly be.”
Thank you all for your support!

Ashley feels so lucky to have this opportunity
posted April 25, 2011

When circumstances dictated that Ashley leave her husband, she did so knowing the challenges her and her two young boys would face. With a job that made her uneasy about finding support for her kids, the stress was mounting in the young family. Finally, a neighbor suggested she take part in CLIMB Wyoming. Once she was ready for the change, Ashley took the leap and found new opportunities awaiting her, including the parenting class your donation helps support.
This parenting class has been a godsend, Ashley says. It has been a breath of fresh air to have this opportunity. Amy Confident in Her Future!
posted April 18, 2011

It seemed simple enough: Amy just needed some help to get her life back on track. She was a single mom of three young boys, and the children’s father was nowhere in their lives. She worked as hard as she could to pay the bills, but it was still a struggle to do that … and it was taking a toll on the relationship with her kids.
That’s when Amy turned to CLIMB Wyoming.
Thanks to your donation of a parenting class, Amy has discovered the joys of being a mom and has been given the tools to realize that she can and will be successful as a single parent. The boys are now able to see a future that’s full of possibility, and a mom who is there to make that happen.
She says, “I actually thought about giving up, but these classes have really given me that hope that I can raise my kids well even if I’m on my own.”
Thank you so much to all of you for providing this empowering class to Amy. A special thank you to UBS, Laurent, and Carol for donating multiple weeks of classes. You have all helped her more than you know!
